PROUD

People Researchers and Organisations Using Design for Co-Creation and Innovation. Working with designers, businesses, academics and the public to promote innovation through new types of Knowledge Exchange

PROUD is a €4.8 million euro, 3 year project funded by the EU INTEREG programme. Lead in the UK by Dr. Leon Cruickshank, this project uses new co-design processes as a knowledge exchange mechanism. These will be used to address regional issues with partners across Northern Europe including Paris, Eindhoven, Lancaster, Essen and Helsinki. In the UK, working with academic, business and social communities Imagination and Lancaster’s Storey Institute will create a new co-design space in the heart of the city with advanced rapid prototyping facilities and imagination space in the university. The new techniques and approaches we develop will be shared with our partners looking at their own regional challenges (e.g. social housing, new business models or urban regeneration).
