ImaginationLancaster and FutureEverything collaborated with Tyndall Centre Manchester on a Pilot Carbon Audit of the Futuresonic 2009 festival which resulted in a set of tools available to other event organisers.
A Pilot Carbon Audit of the Futuresonic 2009 festival by ImaginationLancaster, FutureEverything, Tyndall Centre Manchester and Creative Concern, designed to help FutureEverything (formerly Futuresonic) begin its work on measuring, managing and mitigating the Futuresonic festival's contribution to climate change.
Acknowledged as Best Practice by the industry (Julie's Bicycle 2008). A paper on the project has been published in the book Sustainable Tourism Futures (Routledge, 2008).
An Emissions Calculator, Events Guide and Report are available for other event organisers to adapt and use.
