Playing computer games could help as physical therapy for Parkinson's sufferers

The key to fighting some of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease may be playing computer games like the Nintendo Wii, according to new research.

An in depth study with five sufferers at Lancaster University found that video games involving the movement of players acted as a form of physical therapy.

The disease is a slowly worsening neuro-degenerative brain disorder which affects over six million people worldwide.
