On-demand manufacture and creative commerce
natashacarolan [at] me [dot] com

My research examines On-demand manufacture and creative commerce. I am investigating institutional implications of the digitisation and convergence of design and manufacture as evidenced through the proliferation of customer facing manufacturing services.

I am a HighWire PhD candidate and my research is situated among core themes of the digital economy including service design, value co-creation, service dominant logic, user innovation and digital fabrication. In my time in here I have been involved in projects including smart healthcare environments, user-led smart home development and aural gaming concepts. Recently I was involved with the Homesense project, a european wide user-innovation research project which was subsequently exhibited at MoMA, New York. I am currently an embedded research at Makielab, Shoreditch.
